How to use it
- The countdown opens at 30:00. Press Start when the half hour begins.
- Fullscreen is useful when the room needs to see the time from a distance. Escape or Exit leaves it.
- Pause stores the remaining time. While this page stays open, returning to the tab shows what is left, or Finished if the deadline passed.
Limits to know
- Refreshing this page returns it to 30:00. It does not overwrite a timer stored on the main timer page.
- There is no background timer. The chime needs this tab to stay open on an awake device.
Questions
Is the 30 minute timer a focus session with breaks?
No. It is one 30 minute countdown. A focus block that continues into a break is the Pomodoro timer, not this page.
Will the class hear the sound if the laptop sleeps?
No. Sleep, a locked screen, or a closed tab can miss the chime. Keep the page open and the display awake if the ending sound matters.
