Accessibility
What works with a keyboard, and what the browser will not let a web clock promise.
Last updated October 9, 2026.
What you can do with a keyboard
- Move through the navigation, display choices, and timer controls with Tab.
- Press Enter or Space to activate a display style.
- Leave fullscreen with Escape, or with the Exit button once it is focused.
What the clock does not announce
The clock does not speak every second. A screen reader can read the current time when you reach it. The timer announces its remaining time in a polite live region so a completion is not silent, without reading every tick of the homepage clock.
Contrast and motion
Customize shows a contrast warning below 4.5:1 and offers a high-contrast pair. If you have reduced motion turned on, the flip digits swap without the turning animation.
Known limits
Wake lock and fullscreen depend on the browser. Sound depends on a user gesture and an awake tab. Those limits are written next to the controls, not only on this page.
